Hi Parents,

The small group clinics were an enjoyable change in coaching style, but with the lifting of restrictions of team practices on January 19th, we are excited to get back to business with our team play. With this said, they have some new guidelines for us to follow.

The state is allowing us to practice as a team, with competitions beginning February 1st.

Latest rules state masks are required during Indoor and Outdoor sports by all participants, spectators, and coaches at all times, including active play.

So players will have to wear mask at ALL sessions until otherwise advised. There is no ambiguity in this.

During the indoor practices coaches will provide frequent breaks. We know training with masks on can be stressful so I want to make sure that players are comfortable with the ability to go outside and take them off for a moment.

We have added SONO guidelines & protocols to our web site to help make entering and leaving the fields as smooth as possible. You will see the venue have done a great job investing in maintaining a clean/safe facility. https://www.sonofieldhouse.com/covid-19

See SONO guidelines and protocols here - https://www.interctfc.com/sono

As per SONO’s advice, we ask that parents stay in their cars during sessions, both indoor and outdoor.

SONO Fieldhouse is only allowing 100 people in the facility, so please respect their guidelines as well. This means max of 25 occupants per small field. - We have therefore reduced team practices to 1 team per pod as opposed to the usual two teams we have had in previous years.

Lastly, Please make sure you have followed one of the travel guidelines below if you have travelled recently. All Information can be found on the CT website. https://portal.ct.gov/coronavirus/travel

1. The Connecticut Travel Advisory requires residents of Connecticut who have traveled to Affected States or Affected Countries to self-quarantine for a period of ten (10) days from the time they were last in the Affected State or the Affected Country.

2. Affected Traveler is exempt from the self-quarantine requirement if the Affected Traveler (1) has had a test for COVID-19 in the seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival in Connecticut or at any time following arrival in Connecticut, (2) the result of such COVID-19 test is negative, and (3) he or she has provided written proof of such negative test result to the Commissioner of Public Health via email to DPH.COVID-Travel@ct.gov

We have done a great job at Inter in making sure the players, their families and our staff can continue to train by practicing safe covid protocols/procedures. So please if you've travelled recently, are sick or feeling off, STAY HOME!

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

Thanks again!
