Meet Max Weiss: USL Academy Goalscorer and High School All-American

Max Weiss had a great day yesterday — the Weston soccer player and member of Inter CT’s U19 & USL Academy teams scored in the USL Academy playoffs to help secure a 4-2 win. Not only that,  he was also notified that he earned High School All-American status thanks his incredible year at Weston.

Weiss joined Inter CT in 2020 and has been an integral part of the club since. He was selected in 2021 for the USL Academy team and helped them qualify for the National Championships which have just finished in Tampa.

The USL Academy allows players to also play in regional competitions and simultaneously enjoy the benefits of High School soccer. Max’s performances for Weston helped them win the SWCs for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Max tallied an impressive 17 goals and 16 assists in his High School season.

When asked about his best moments this season, Max replied: "[My best moments] were creating a good bond with the NAC that expanded onto the USL academy, where obviously we performed better than expected with a team that was very close. And just using that experience to bring into high school and feel like I could be so far ahead of other people on the field that the growth as a player I had with Inter and USL Academy guided me to my success."

Marty Walker, says — “We’re delighted to congratulate Max on this great achievement along with all other Inter CT FC players who gained state and regional recognition.”

We at Inter CT FC are thrilled to highlight Max for his incredible achievements, and wish him continued success both on & off the field.
