Indoor space secured for winter 2022/23

Dear parents and players,

In a recent news article, we let you know we were aware that SONO Field house had been sold to the Northeast Volleyball Club. We have since been in negotiations to retain a relationship to utilize the one turf field that will remain.

We are pleased to announce that Inter CT will now be the major tenant at what will now be called the Northeast Athletic Center.

With the new sale comes renovations which start today. (April 28th) As such, Inter CT has agreed to utilize our other facilities during the remainder of this spring when indoor space is not essential. Therefore, within the next day, you will see practices at SONO have now been moved to All Saints or another alternative location with the hope of minimal disruption.

After this spring, the new agreement has allowed us to book all possible hours that we may need and now sees us utilizing the facility every day during the winter when we need it most. Plus, we will continue to use it in the fall and spring of 2023.

As a club, we are grateful that we have our home base in All Saints, which during COVID-19 allowed us to continue to play whilst sticking to CCD guidelines. Other clubs were not so lucky. As Inter-CT has grown, we invested back into indoor space at SONO with the aim of providing the best possible soccer experience.  This has paid dividends as we were the biggest client, putting us in a prime position to negotiate the hours we needed. It was only three years ago our primary indoor space was the gym at All Saints.

With our indoor hours available, we will be able to get early notice to 2022/23 teams to help plan during the winter.
