The day after both coach Frantzy Noze and coach Jamie Stratton walk away with their respective College Championship honors, Inter CT would like to recognize the achievements of the coaching staff that are associated with college programs.

Frantzy, the assistant to his wife Tanya, who took over at Bridgeport University this summer had an exciting weekend in Philadelphia beat Holy Family on penalties 4-2 to advance to the final which was played yesterday ( November 6th ) with a 2-0 win against Chestnut Hill.

The win comes off the back of a 17 match unbeaten streak which dates back to early September. Coach Frantzy said of the win…..” Leon, Marty & Tom have been very helpful and supportive of me doing both working with Inter CT FC and the University of Bridgeport Women’s Soccer.

It’s been great being part of the Inter CT FC Family while trying to build a soccer culture at University Bridgeport with our coaching staff. “

Frantzy’s 2011 Boys walked out with the players and got to play on the field at Half Time in a recent league game.

Jamie Stratton, goalkeeper coach for Inter CT and Quinnipiac women enjoyed great satisfaction in his goalkeeper keeping a clean sheet in the Div 1 MAAC conference as the Bobcat’s beat Niagra 4-0 and enjoyed many accolades for the number of shutouts the team kept throughout the season. This was Quinnipiac’s first ever MAAC conference championship title. Jamie, once a goalkeeper for Inter CT’s pre-named Everton America will find out the the destiny of the team in the NCAA Tournament later today.

Sticking with the MAAC Conference, Technical Director Marty Walker and new coach Stevie Main coach at Iona College. The relationship has allowed us to use the Iona field for National League games in the past and coach Stevie, like Frantzy invited members of his team to be part of the game day activities in a recent game. Ironically, Iona were the only team to beat Quinnipiac this season.

Another double act is coaches Colin and Ashley who coach at the University of New Haven. Colin is our boys High School Director and is assistant coach for the Lady Chargers. Ashley is our girls Director and goalkeeping coach for UNH.

Lastly, coach Marcus, who joined us this fall was extremely please with the performances at Fairfield University where he is the Goalkeeper coach. Fairfield finished league play in 2nd place behind Quinnipiac but lost out in the play off Semi Finals. “This group is extremely hard working and dedicated to achieving one common goal” said Marcus about his Fairfield team. Traits that he instills when working with Inter CT players.

As an organization, it is not always easy to have college coaches work with our players. The college season is demanding with long travel trips that often include stays overnight. - Hopefully we have kept disruption to Inter CT at a minimum and ensure that the experiences that these coaches are gaining at the college level can be instilled and executed for our players, along with opportunities for our players to both see the college environment and take advantage of both player sand parents picking the brains of these college coaches for help along the way with regards to college recruitment if that’s what players are looking for.
