Inter CT FC proudly announces Tania Armelino as the newest addition to our coaching team. Tania will be spearheading the development of our 2008 and 2006/7 girls teams for the upcoming 2024/25 season. Bringing a wealth of experience, Tania serves as the Head Coach for Women's Soccer at the University of Bridgeport, where she led the team to its inaugural CACC Conference Championship, boasting an undefeated conference record and earning the title of 2022 CACC Coach of the Year.

With a strong background in youth soccer, Tania previously contributed to the development of players at Nordic Soccer Club in Vermont and participated in Vermont's USYS Olympic Development Program.

Tania holds a Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and is a member of the State Bar of Connecticut, having graduated with a degree in English from Rutgers University.

She holds an NSCAA National Diploma, is a graduate of the Women's Coaches Academy, and is a Gold Level Mentor. Additionally, she is a certified instructor with the American Red Cross.

Tania is enthusiastic about joining Inter CT, but she has been involved with the club since returning to Connecticut in 2022. She played a pivotal role in Inter CT's recent College recruitment night, aiding players in understanding their collegiate options and soccer pathways.

Leon Othen, Director at Inter CT, expressed his delight in welcoming Tania to the team, highlighting her genuine excitement and invaluable collegiate and youth coaching experience. "We are thrilled to have Tania join us early and provide our oldest girls teams with unparalleled guidance," he said. "As the wife of Inter CT Union Coach Frantzy, Tania is not just a colleague but also a member of our family. She truly understands our ethos and vision."
