Program Overview
Inter Connecticut FC is actively expanding our Girls soccer program. Within three years, we grew our girls youth soccer from three to over ten teams. We have added five female staff members, two of which are full-time — including a Development Director.
At Inter CT, we believe in the opportunity for girls to work with female coaches. We are passionate about inspiring the next generation of girls to dream big. We also believe in the importance of using soccer as a platform to teach life values, such as respect, teamwork, leadership, perseverance and appreciation; the same values that were essential in our coaching staff reaching the top of our sport.
Our goal is to push players to reach their potential on & off the field, and provide good role models to every player in our program.
Team Organization
The standard Inter CT FC Girls program ranges in playing ages from 2008 - 2013 (U9 -U14) — all players who traditionally partake in competitive, club & league play across Spring & Fall seasons. This Spring, our newly-expanded U9 girls team is getting ready to enter league competition. They prepare to advance to 9v9 play.

Girls 2008
The U12 girls team is our final "Pre-High School" team — players moving forward will experience our most competitive, premier soccer, and join those who may be seeking to prepare for college soccer & beyond.

Announcing Ashley Cabral as Our New Assistant Director of Coaching for High School Girls
We are excited to announce that as of July 1, Ashley Cabral has been named the Assistant Director of Coaching for our High School Girls program at Inter CT FC!
Ashley is a familiar face to many in our club, having contributed her passion, knowledge, and leadership to various teams throughout the spring season. Her experience both on and off the field, combined with her deep understanding of the game and strong connection with our players, makes her a tremendous asset to our coaching staff and a natural fit for this role.
In her new position, Ashley will support the continued development of our high school girls teams by helping to oversee coaching standards, guide player development, and ensure a positive and competitive environment across all age groups. She brings a strong focus on mentorship, empowerment, and building a cohesive pathway for female athletes within the club.
Please join us in congratulating Ashley and supporting her in this important leadership role. We look forward to a successful season ahead under her guidance and continued contributions to our Inter CT FC community.
For a chance to meet with Ashley in person, she will be hosting a “meet your Director Day” at both our Norwalk and Union branches.
For Norwalk High School Girls, we will host an open play day on Friday July 18th from 1pm - 3p at All Saints School.
For Union High School Girls, we will host an open play day on Friday July 25th from 1pm to 3pm at the Orange Ave Fields at the YMCA.
On both occasions we will have open play, putting groups into small teams and letting them play. Coach Ashley will introduce herself to all attendees and present her plans for the future.
