WINTER LEAGUE
Inter CT FC is very proud to offer players the opportunity to play competitive games during the winter when the Premier leagues in CT stop. This Winter League structure has worked exceptionally well for us in the past as it allows our players to play meaningful games during the winter and be fully ready for the Spring season.
We will run an 8-week league in January and February with three different leagues. Our 11v11 teams are on Wednesday evening, and the 7v7 and 9v9 teams will play on Sunday afternoon.
League Information
Location - All games will be at the Northeast Athletic Center in South Norwalk.
Game Information - You will find all this on SportsEngine once the league is live. This will show you the kick-off times, rosters and allow you to use the chat function to communicate with the coaches and other families.
SportsEngine - Please can everyone RSVP to all events. We know some games fall on Holidays, but the league doesn't stop. RSVPing to the games will allow us to see if we must bring guest players.
Game Length - Games will be two 25-minute halves.
Roster Size - 10 players per team, and we will look to play 6v6 or 7v7 based on the age of the players.
What to wear - All current Inter CT FC players will wear their black or white Inter CT FC game jerseys. If you aren't a 23/24 Inter CT FC player, we will provide you with a white and black jersey for the league.
Players MUST wear shin guards at all times. If you show up without them, players WON'T be able to play.
Footwear - Players are encouraged to wear any soccer-based footwear. You can wear cleats or indoors.

Strictly NO ball games in the walkways
Cleats should only be worn on the field to avoid players slipping
Parents can't park or wait directly outside the facility entrance
Frequently Asked Questions
What jersey should I wear? - The home team will be asked to wear black, and the away team will wear white. It's best to always bring both jerseys with you to all games.
I don't have a jersey yet? - They will be given out at the first game. Only non-Inter CT players will get these, as current Inter CT players will use their games day uniforms.
When should I arrive? - For the first week, give yourself 10 minutes if you aren't an Inter CT player. The rest of the time, arrive 5 minutes before
Can parents stay to watch? - YES! You are more than welcome to watch. Please focus on the watching part. Enjoy watching your son doing something they love—NO COACHING FROM THE SIDELINE BY PARENTS. Parking and seating is limited at Northeast Athletic Center.
Who is coaching during the league? - All league games will have two full-time Inter CT FC coaches. The coaches will change weekly to allow all players to work with our highly experienced staff. Our coaches won't be coaching the same way they would during the season, as we want players to take ownership of the Winter League. Our coaches will be there to help with game flow, subs, and key coaching points.
Positions/Game time? - All players will get even game time and be expected to play in all positions. This is an indoor league, so players must attack and defend as a team. If we have set GKs, they can play in the goal. If your team doesn't have a set GK, we will rotate the goalie so everyone does it.
Is there a warm-up? - Due to the league's format, there isn't enough time to add warm-ups on the field. We have back-to-back games, or someone else will be on the field before we start. There is a little space around the field for players to do their own small warm-up.
