Inter CT is glad to sign Katie Didio, to add to the talented full time staff members. 

Katie DiDio was born in the Dominican Republic, adding further to our INTERnational staff & was raised in Vernon/Rockville CT.

As a player, Katie was a 4-year starter for the Owls at Southern Connecticut State University from 2007-10. During that stretch, she recorded 29 victories, which ranks third all-time at SCSU. DiDio also holds the Southern Connecticut record with 311 saves and is second with 21 career shutouts (16 solo). She also ranks fourth in goals against average.

Katie continues the strong tradition of goalkeeper coaches at the club and she will be working with our current goalkeeping staff to ensure the best possible training.

Shortly after graduation, Katie became the Head Assistant coach at SCSU where she coached from 2013-2017. 

Katie brings 14 years of coaching experience to Inter CT FC. She has coached at the youth, premier, high school and colligate level. 

"I am excited to get back to coaching" said Katie. 

Having shared the soccer field with our girls development officer, Ashley Kaufman and Technical Director, Marty Walker, Katie says " I wouldn't want to be at any other club right now. There is such a buzz about all the good things that are happening and in particular the growth of the girls program."

Katie will be taking the girls 2010/11 group as well as the newly formed 2009 team. Katie will also be assisting on one of the 2008 girls teams. " I'm ready to take the the girls to the next level and nourish their love for the game." concluded Katie.

Girls Development Officer, Ashley Kaufman said of Katie's appointment "Coaches with Katie's knowledge and enthusiasm do not come around often. I'm so glad that Katie chose to join our growing girls program to provide further female role models to our ladies."

Part of Katie's role is to help spread awareness and work on the Charity "Football For All" - The charity aims to provide excellent soccer opportunities to all players regardless of their financial status. - You will see that the charity logo is on the front of Inter CT's practice shirts for the 2021/2 season.
