Inter CT FC is determined to provide Connecticut with competitive, fun, and quality club soccer at all ages. We field youth boys & girls soccer teams from the "Pre-team Academy" level, through High School & beyond — including our new Pathway-to-Pro track & U19 USL Academy partnership. Learn more about leagues & teams below.
Inter Connecticut FC currently fields over 30 soccer teams for the 2022/23 seasons across our Boys & Girls programs.
U9 & U10 progress to 7v7 play. U11 & U12 compete in 9v9. *By U9, all Inter CT Teams have entered competitive league play!
By U13, teams finalize in 11v11 formats with the largest roster sizes, all the way through our High School-age teams, and new USL Academy partnership (U19 - by invitation/trial only).
We've moved beyond the traditional "A & B" team structure. Instead, we believe all players deserve quality, professional-like experiences with direct pathways to college soccer. It begins with our participation in the new, EDP National League.
From U9 (b. 2013) & above, our teams compete in either the National League's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) or New England Conference (NEC) — thanks to our club's geographic location, we are able to register teams for competitive play in both conferences.
For age groups with high numbers of players, we also register in regional leagues with localized travel & competition, also managed by the Elite Development Program (EDP).
Both NAC & NEC play offer the same opportunities for play and exposure. Our participating teams are obligated to attend league tournaments & college showcases at various ages.
New & younger teams are likely to be registered in the conference most convenient for the travel of its players. As age and competition increases, our rosters become more dynamic, and we promote player mobility across competitions.
Both conferences, structured either for team v. team or club v. club play, reward success with a chance to earn a place in National championships (see image).
We exist at the northern-most border for participate in the NAC. We entered, and were accepted to the NAC as a club — where we are evaluated by performance club-wide to maintain our status. NAC teams experience further travel distances to soccer clubs in, and south of, CT & NY.
We also exist at the southernmost cutoff to play in the NEC. Teams experience more localized travel in northern CT & neighboring states for gameplay. NEC teams are evaluated individually by their performance / point accumulation each year in the league to maintain standing.
